Introduction to Physical Stimulation1 minute read
More exercise, also known as "physical stimulation," is the solution to a lot of dog parenting struggles. Even at Harper we forget this sometimes. We'll help someone plan an elaborate training solution to an undesirable behavior, and they'll report back that they just added an extra long walk in the evenings and the problem went away.
Why didn't we think of that?
In the case of puppy biting, more exercise always helps. A tired puppy might still have the urge to bite and chew, but she's much more willing to let you swap in an appropriate chew toy instead of repeatedly lunging at your ankles.
What follows in this section are some of the easiest, most fun games to get your puppy moving that Harper has to offer. And as a bonus, we made sure to pick games that help you practice other valuable skills as well, like coming when called.
Let's get started!
